HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE .....

image from google

So I thought i'd do the Halloween Tag on this fine Halloween night. <3

1. What is your favourite Halloween movie?

Wellll after just watching Annabelle 2014 this is my new favourite but if I went for my retro fav it would be "Puppet Master" or "Poltergeist".

2.  1-10 How much do you enjoy Halloween?

100 I love it and I am so happy it is becoming more a popular thing here in the UK every year I go to Asda there are more isles filled with Halloween stuff haha.

3. What is your fondest Halloween memory?

Carving turnips that was before the pumpkins became bigger over in the UK we used to take them around with us Trick or Treating. And also school Halloween parties.

4. Have you always been a Halloween lover?

Yes of course I have, my mam used to put a bin bag on me as my dress and I was allowed to buy a broom and of course I was over the moon with that.

5. How do you get into the Halloween spirit?

Buying Halloween deco of course? I've had it all up since the 1st of October haha

6. Favourite Halloween Deco?

Ooooooooooooo I bought this giant spider this year from B&M and it hangs from the roof with massive legs it's the coolest thing ever mind you it took 3 of us to put it up.

7. Favourite Halloween scent?

Pumpkin Spice.

8. Favourite candy?

Well it's not really candy but I love Toffee Apples hehe.

9. Vampires or Zombies?

Zombies all the way , after watching "The Walking Dead" and my healthy obsession with Darly hehe.

I don't really think I have any odd or weird fears .... I'm scared of spiders??? haha

11. Last but not least, do you believe in ghosts?

I don't know if I believe in ghosts but I do believe there is "something" out there I just don't know what. I once went to see a medium and she knew my nanas name and said a few things that she couldn't have known otherwise so ever since then it has made me question what I thought I knew.

I hope you enjoyed feel free to join in , Love <3

Halloween Horror Block October 2014 - Review

Hi peeps,

So I have had my subscription with Nerd/Horror Block for like 3 months now (this is my 3rd box) so I LOVED this months box so much I though i'd share all my goodies with you this month and it also fits the Halloween theme. :)

This box is a subscription box I pay about £20 a month with FREE delivery,

Nerd Block have other themed boxes to chose from which are:

-Horror Block £19.99
-Arcade Block £19.99
-Nerd Block Classic £19.99
-Nerd Block Girls Jnr £13.99
-Nerd Block Boys Jnr £13.99

I love horror so I picked this one. You get a box full of mystery presents every month. So I always get super excited for this every month and if you're a geek like me then this will suit you down to the ground. You can cancel anytime you aren't in a contract.

In these boxes you get soooooo much value for money I would recommend to anyone. They also do children blocks which are super cute and so worth the money and gives the kids something to look forward to every month.

This is the box

The first item I pull out is this little guy "Build your own Zombie" easy air-dry dough. It shows you on the back of the box how to mix the dough to get certain colours and also how to assemble the Zombie. I can not wait to do this maybe i'll do it on Hallows Eve.

The second item is "Puppet Master" Blu-Ray DVD. Never had a DVD from this box before but I don't have this but I remember watching it years ago it's one of those films I always make a point in watching if it's ever on TV.

Synopsis:

Alex Whitaker and three other gifted psychics are investigating rumors that the secret life has been discovered by master puppeteer Andre Toulon. But the psychics quickly discover Toulon's secrect of death in the form of five killer puppets, each one uniqquiely qualified for murder and mayhem, Tunneler has a nasty habit of boring holes in people with his drill bit head. Ms. Leech regurgitates killer leeches that suck her victims dry. Pinhead strangles his enemies with his powerful vice-like hands. Blade has a gleaming hook for one hand and a razor-sharp knife for the other. And Jester, the ruthless brains of the bunch, is absolutely merciless. Together, they're an army of skilled assassins, diabolically programmed to guard the deadly secrets of the Puppet Master.

The next item was another of my favourites in the box......... Jason figure from Friday the 13th. He is a 3 3/34 inch action figure and anyone that knows me know I love my figures and collect them. You can also get a load of other characters:

-Michael Myers (from Halloween)
- Freddy Krueger (Nightmare on Elm Street)
-Jason Voorhees (Friday the 13th the one I just got)
-Eric Draven ( from The Crow)
-Sam (from Trick R Treat)
-Pinhead (from Hellraiser III)
-Ghost Face (from Scream)

Now I basically need them all.

Next item cute little variety box of Peanut Crunch cereal. I don't eat cereal but I am sure my Step-Daughter will love them. Cute little box too.

Next item is A T SHIRT, Horror Block always send a T Shirt every month it's one of their signature things or so I think. It is super cool , black with a picture of Jason from Friday the 13th. The sizing of the shirts are quite out to the UK sizes , this is a Medium but I'd say it was more of a UK Large. LOVE THIS.

That's all the goodies for this month accept the magazine which comes every month. They always have some cool stuff in and are worth quite a bit.

That's all folks hope you enjoyed. Love <3 (Subscription details above)

Superstitions .... Here's mine ....

SUPERSTITIONS!!!!

Hi all ,

Once again loving the Blogtober so I am doing this days toooooooo :) (this is so much fun haha)

I am pretty superstitious so here are some of mine :

1) I HAVE to salute a Magpie (bird) seeing one Magpie on their own can bring bad luck if you salute it you ward it off . I also do the one for sorrow two for joy thing as well. (had to google the whole thing) here it is:

One for sorrow,
Two for joy,
Three for a girl,
Four for a boy,
Five for silver,
Six for gold,
Seven for a secret never to be told.

Don't ask me what happens if you see more than 7 though. No idea.

2) Don't put new shoes on the table it's bad luck.

3) I will not walk under a ladder.

4) At a wedding you must have some borrowed, something blue , something old and something new. I wouldn't get married without doing this.

5) Breaking a mirror will bring you 7 years bad look.

6) If you tell anyone your wish it won't come true. Just the other month I went to Edinburgh Zoo and there was a wish tree I made a wish and still didn't dare tell anyone what it was.

7) See a penny pick it up all day long you'll have good luck. :)

8) Fingers crossed. I actually do this all the time and I do believe it actually works hehe.

9) Ears burning. Left for love , Right for spite. (someone is talking about you oooooo).

10) Don't put a umbrella up indoors everyone in the house will experience bad luck.

What are your superstitions?

A Letter To My Younger Self - Blogtober

So I joined the Blogging community a bit too late but I have seen a few posts on Blogtober and they seemed so cool to write about so I thought I'd join in on this one because well I make my own god damn rules HA!

So here is goes my letter to my younger self:

Dear Marie (15year old),

Your self esteem is so low stop critising yourself and realise that you ARE good enough and you CAN do whatever you want if you put your mind to it. Self harming will not make anything go away or take the pain away that you feel. The girls you called your friends will all turn on you because of one jealous person that didn't like you, who needs enemies with friends like those.

You are strong , you will get through this. Tell mum and dad they will help you , you do have to do it alone. You are always attracted to negative people, people that want to tear you apart little by little YOU DON'T NEED THEM , you CAN do better than him. All you need to do is believe in yourself, stop letting your anxiety rule your life it will only get worse the older you get.

Don't change for anyone.

“Encourage yourself, believe in yourself, and love yourself. Never doubt who you are.”

Feel free to share your letters with me I would love to hear them xox

How To Cover Your Dark Baggy Eye Circles.

I woke up today with the awfulest baggest eyes ever and a break out , after been ill for a week now I have finally come to work and everyone knows I must be ill if I have took a day off. Now I wish I stayed off again but least I finally got some sleep and I do feel slightly better but now I just feel like I came back too early.

Anyways here's a picture to help with baggy eyes I hope you like?

Glitter and Stars make everything better. <3
No just kidding here's some little tips from meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee:

Use a good moisturiser I use Nivea Soft & Gentle. Flipping love Nivea.

Get a good concealer pick a shade lighter than your skin tone. I always use a tube concealer (2true 3in 1 - Light) as I find that the stick concealer is a bit dry and pulls on my eye bags and also with me having really dry skin I find it kind of clumps /gathers on me face and then I have to use even more moisturiser.

TOP TIP : Using a peach colour can help counteract blue tinge from dark circles.(mine are more of a reddish colour and I find this works best for me so it may not work best for you).

Apply concealer after foundation as you will find that you rub most of it off in the foundation process. The foundation I use is "Collection 2000 Perfect Finish Colour Ivory"

Don't forget to set your eyes with a power I use "Stay matte by Rimmel Colour Translucent 001"This will help your concealer last the day.

Let me know what you do to cover dark eye circles ? Is it any different to me?
To be honest I rarely get dark circles but since I have not slept well for like 3 days it has happened. boohoo. xox

5 Things That Will Make You Happier !!

So I've been having quite a few down days recently due to good old life and it's stresses. I thought I would google "5 ways to be happier" and see what it came up with. I've picked a few from different sites and put my own spin on them to kind of remind my self to be happy. <3

5 THNGS THAT WILL MAKE YOU HAPPIER.

1. Be grateful :

I don't always appreciate what I have, when I feel down it's like I have nothing in life and everything is hopeless.
A few things I have to be grateful for :
-HEALTH
-LOVE
-FAMILY (including my fur babies)

2. Be optimistic :

This is the hardest thing for me to ever do I am such a negative person but I am trying to change that (really I ammmm) I've realised when I am down on things I make them worse than they have to be. I'm not one of those people that can just think "It will all be okay in the end" but I wish I was and I will be one day :)

ALWAYS HAVE A DREAM.

Set your self goals just small ones, I set one - To finally start a blog .... And I DID !!!

3. Count your blessings :

Apparently researches have shown that people who write down 3 good things that have happened to them every week show boost in happiness. Here are my 3 for last week:

- New candles
-Learnt more about blogging
-Cats :)

4. Use your strengths :

Do what you are good at, find something you are good at, stick at it and it will take you where you want to go.

5. DON'T forget to laugh :

Laughing is the biggest remedy for  basically anything, on the down days maybe it is hard to find something to laugh about at least I think it is. I think the most important thing is to be around people that make you laugh. A good few years ago I got into the trap/cycle of been with someone that put me down, made me depressed, cheated, abusive it took me another year to find the person I once was.    Here are a few things I do:
- Cuddle my cats
- Watch funny videos
- Candles, films, duvet days

What makes you happier?

Zoella Blissful Mistful 45ml - Review (October 2014)

Well what can I say about this product?

I LOVE ZOELLA <3 <3 <3

Zoella bottle and my hand :)

Firstly I had to travel to like 3 Superdrugs to find this all of her other products were sold out which is the only reason I didn't get the whole range. :( but I am placing a order next week online so I am hoping they are in stock on there. YAY ... Anyway back to the review...

It didn't come in a box which I was surpised about but it looks super cute and I love the bottle it looks so pretty sitting on my dressing table. It is quite a light scent I thought for some reason that it would smell more vanilla-ry (no such word I know) but it's more of a sweet flowery scent but not sickly. The scent didn't last for ages but then again it is not a perfume and the other body mist I have are the same actually they don't last as long as this did. I kept getting a little whiff all day.

Basically love it, would make the ideal Xmas pressie for any Zoella fan. <3

Love x

Herbal Essences Dry Shampoo Ignite My Colour - Review

Hi again ,

So I'm not really a fan of dry shampoos I can't really go for more than one day without washing my hair which I know is bad and I should leave it longer and I am going to try and leave it longer from now on.... But I just always feel like it's greasy straight away. ( I only really bought it because it was on OFFER and anyone that knows me knows I can't resist a bargain)

So for this review I left my hair for two days ... (living life to the max I know) , I had that icky feeling on the second day I woke like my hair was rocking the "wet" (grease) look lol ... oh apparently you should leave your hair longer and longer each time as it apparently stops it from getting greasy straight away... okay so back to the point....

I do dye my hair dark brown but since I used to have red hair it's still got the "red glow" going on so I used it on the underneath of my hair and sides where I feel you can see the minging bits first (directions said spray and work into roots) and I knew I was going to put my hair into a pony tail (after two years of growing my hair I can finally do it YAY) ... so I needed those bits doing

Firstly for me it didn't do much to my colour but like I said I don't really have a wild colour going on the moment I am trying to look sensible for work .... So I can give my opinion on the colour bit....

It did make my hair feel a lot fresher and it didn't leave any of those nasty white bits which is why I don't use dry shampoo in the first place. I was quite impressed and OH MY GOD it smells amazing just like the shampoo , all day at work I kept getting a whiff of the luscious smelll , it was devive,

Summary

Overall I would rate this product : GOOD , does what it says on the tin but I will definitely try it once I dye my hair a more adventurous colour . So yes this product was super easy to use , just spray work it into your roots or wherever you need to and see immediate results, no residue which is good since I have very dark hair. So yes I would recommend this to all you lovely people.

I also wanted to point out that there are other Herbal Essence Dry Shampoo to try ....
-Ignite my colour (the one I just reviewed)
-Naked
-Party Refresh
-Uplifting Volume

Pretty Lights............ Sunderland Illunminations 2014

Pretty lights says it all really .

Couple of days ago I went to see Sunderland Illuminations this years theme was "Alice In Wonderland". Now every year my parents used to take me without fail to see the "Lights" where I would always be allowed to buy one of those worm toy things on a stick , ha, they really were the best ever oh and no forgetting the chips.

Worm on a stick thing. (to show you what I mean)

The lights really were lovely although when we went it was raining but that didn't stop the fun :-) .
I also bought a toffee apple which I should have took a picture of because it was sooo nice I never used to like them as a kid, oh how things change :-)

They also had a little fairy coven where there was a Troll with a bridge and Tinkerbell.

However one of my favourite parts was the park pond where they had a water feature on that splashed to the sound of the songs they were playing also made the water change colour.

I will post the pictures below because you have to see it to appreciate it :-)

"Who's that tripping over my bridge?" roared the troll .

"All you need is faith, trust and a little bit of pixie dust."
Tinks friend I guess LoL
This looked so beautiful even in the rain :-)
Total amaze-balls
"A very Merry un-birthday to me"
"We're all mad here."
Painting the roses red.
"I'm late".

So there you have it I hope my pictures look okay.
This isn't a christmas thing it's for Bonfire night they all get took down after then which you'd think it was more of a Xmas thing but apparently not. Oh well I loved it all the same . YAY.
