Ovia Pregnancy App Tracker and Baby Calendar - Review August 2015

Hi Y'all

As a first time mammy I have found what I consider one of the best pregnancy apps around. Simple, clear and easy to use. I am currently 34weeks pregnant and have used this app since I found out I was pregnant.

A lot of Apps I tried out before this one I found were overly complicated and didn't do exactly what I was looking for.

The App Ovia Pregnancy was such a great help to me as a first time mammy I wasn't sure what to expect or if my symptoms were normal. Not only does this App give advice you can also use it as a handy baby dairy you can list your symptoms , mood , sleep , nutrition , excise, weight, doctors appointments  or just general notes.

Cougar by Paula Dunne Bee Venom Day Cream - Review April 2015

Good day all,

I hope you are all doing well ?

Today I will review the Cougar Bee Venom Day Cream.

**Disclaimer the following products have been sent to me as a PR sample for review consideration, however all opinion and thoughts on the products are my own.**

Cougar by Paula Dunne Bee Venom Day Cream 50ml.

I’ll be honest once I received this cream and saw the words “bee venom” I was a little scared and remember being stung by a bee when I was a kid and it hurt A LOT (ha) so the thought of applying that onto my face was slightly terrifying. Don’t let this put you off at all I can happily say that it did not hurt what so ever.

The packaging was definitely higher end when it comes to skin cream and I absolutely LOVED the pump bottle rather than having to dip your finger in and apply. The bottle also meant I used less cream, I found only using one pump was enough to do my eyes and neck.

The cream is designed to stimulate cell metabolism therefore plumping out thinner lines such as on the face and neck.

This cream would be ideal for the more “mature” skin type I personally don’t have any visible lines to try it out on but I definitely saw a difference in my skin and for the first time in my first 3 months of pregnancy I actually looked “glowing” and even had a few people commented on my skin.

I personally did not experience any redness or any kind of sting so I’d say that the cream is also okay to use on sensitive skin.

The cream it’s self had a lovely fresh scent, it was quite wet however absorbed so quickly but also easily spread therefore I didn't use more cream than I had too. I applied it under the eye area it gave my skin a very nourished look, I have used this cream every morning for the last two weeks and have seen good results would be good to use as a night cream too.

Directions for application:

After cleansing smooth gently into face and neck using upward and outward movements. The best results can be obtained with regular application of the full Cougar Skincare range.

You can look at other Cougar Beauty Range on their website :  HERE.

So if your looking for youthful radiant skin I’d recommend you give this a try.

Have you ever tried any of Cougar beauty products ?

What to expect Week 8 pregnancy : THE TRUTH

Hello everyone,

Today I thought I would share with you all my experience of 8 weeks pregnancy so far :)

(This of course is my own experience I am not saying everyone else will feel the same.)

With only 30+ weeks away to meet this little bundle of joy I am so excited and should be “glowing” instead I am finding myself every morning with my head down the toilet “gagging” the nothing that is inside of me.

Even brushing my teeth has become a chore, the little things I have took for granted like thinking straight are a thing of the past.

Now all I feel is what I call “nausea fog”… Can’t think of nothing else but will this please go away.

Of course nausea isn’t just the only symptom I am feeling, forcing food down has become another “issue” and not to mention that lovely burning sensation in your throat and chest otherwise known as “INDIGESTION” after anything you eat.

Food arrrghhh the enemy … No coffee , no food just nothing .. no Thank You . Food has become an enemy force feeding yourself and fancying nothing to eat really is just below the belt. The very thought of food sends the nausea wild not to mention the smell. Foods I once loved I now can not stand. Your only friend is water, treat him nicely.

By now I should be feeling “quite” hormonal but as I am feeling so sick I have not had the energy to take out my pregnancy on my partner just yet but I am sure I will be able to at some stage.  haaaa

No one ever tells you how annoying people actually are when you are pregnant the types of comments you have to put up with :

“You wanted this”

Yes I did want this it’s the nausea-sickness I do not want do not confuse them both.

“Can you not take anything to help with your sickness”

Yep magic pill from the doctor sort me right out, obviously if there was a “cure” I wouldn’t be
sat here writing this post would I??????????????????????????????//

“I never felt sick once when I was pregnant”

Thanks for that , that really made me feel a lot better now.

“You’re barely pregnant yet you can’t feel that bad”

Errr the first 12 weeks are the hardest, do you realise how many changes my body is going through right now ?? Shut up.

Of course I also look as bad as I feel much like a dark sunken eyed pale ghost with spots apart from that a picture of health so yeah slightly glowing.

All this been said this baby is the best thing that has ever happened to me and is worth every ounce of sickness <3

A few things I have found that slightly help morning sickness are:

Travel sickness wrist bands (got mine from Ebay for £1.74)
Chicken Soup
Bread
Sleep
Water
Not letting myself get "hungry"
Eating little and often.
Melon.
Not jumping out of bed on a morning, take your time to get ready.

I have my first ever midwife appointment next week feeling pretty worried about it to be honest.

Let me know how your first trimester went ????

I am missing my Blog too much haha , hope you are allllllll well xox

Bourjois Paris Smoky Stories Palette ; Review January 2015

Good morning loves,

So for Xmas my hubby got me the "Bourjois Smoky Stories Palette" and after avoiding trying another smoky eye after the last disaster I decided I would again give it a go. It was actually a lot easier than I thought as the colours compliment each other so well :)

Bourjois have a range of different colour quad palettes available the one I am using is:

01 Grey & Night - A classic grey theme, a stunning white and a silver glitter shade.

I'll be honest I was not overly keen on thought of the glitter on my eyes but there was no fall out with this product and it gives the eyes a stunning finish.

Here are the steps I took to get this look:

1. Add lighter grey for base on the lid,

2. Apply dark grey shade to outer corner and also created a winged affect and blended with 3. Blend
4. Apply dark grey under bottom lash line.
5. Apply white shade to the corner of my eyes and into the corner of top lid.
6.Take a small amount of glitter and dabbed over the top of the lid, apply as much as you would like.

Of course I am no expert this is the second time I have tried to achieve the smoky eyed look. Of course you could go a lot darker with this but I am not used to darker shades so I kept it a little on the lighter side.

This was the finished look , let me know what you think?

Have you used this product before?

Good morning lovelies,

I know the party season it technically "over" but that doesn't stop me from buying beauty boxes for the party season. hehe :)

This box contains all of the party must haves and what's even better it was in the sale from £24.95 to £17.46 so of course I have to buy it... I'm not addicted to beauty boxes

I must be honest every box I have ever ordered from Latestinbeauty.com has never disappointed me in any way shape or form. The range of products are always amazing and the price is always impressive.
